We recommend these wine selections while you enjoy our event:

White: 2021 Albariño — Their most popular white wine made by winemaker Javier Alfonso. The Albariño grape is normally found in Portugal and Galicia, the Northwestern region of Spain. It’s a light, fruity, dry white with notes of peach, apricot, citrus and fresh blossoms. It’s a classic pairing with seafood but also great with salads, roast chicken, etc. — $25

Light, Fresh Red: 2021 Pinot Noir/Gamay Noir/Trosseau Blend — This is the first year they’ve made this experimental blend with natural winemakers Chad and Bree Stock in the Willamette Valley. The organically grown Pinot Noir and Gamay Noir are light and fruity with notes of wild strawberry, raspberry, and dried herbs. Trosseau is a very rare grape normally found in Eastern France and it really gives the blend some structure and spice notes. This wine is incredible with a slight chill on it and with its lip-smacking acidity goes with just about any food although we are partial to a charcuterie board. — $37

Full Bodied Red: 2020 Rabbit Cabernet Sauvignon — This is a perennial favorite made by winemaker Travis Maple. This Bordeaux style wine is predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon with touches of Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Malbec blended in. The grapes come from one of the oldest vineyards in Yakima Valley and the wine is aged in oak barrels to provide texture and smoothness. Notes of black currant, cherry cola and sweet vanilla this wine calls out for grilled meat, roasted mushrooms and other hearty dishes. We recommend opening in advance and letting it breathe in advance of enjoying. — $25

Cheese from Cheeseland Inc: Ewephoria

This new creation from Holland is unlike any other sheep milk cheese you have ever tasted before. The milk comes from a small farm where the sheep are treated like family. Even though this cheese has been aged for one year, it has developed a sweet and nutty flavor. This cheese tastes like candy! Experience it for dessert with red or green grapes.

– DESSERT –

To those in person, we are offering a sweet finish. Sadly, we are unable to make these broadly available.  If you want to get something similar, we’ll be enjoying Gluten Free Macarons from Sweet Craft Bake Shop.

Here’s one more little sneak peek!

Our special guest speaker, Amy Gulick, will be honoring salmon by passing smoked salmon to our guests.  If you want to take part, we suggest smoked salmon be on your shopping list!

It’s important to us that any organization we are involved with actually gets things done, and the work that the Friends takes on so capably really does make a difference.
