GiveBIG on May 8 and help protect what you love about the islands!

GiveBIG to protect what you love in the San Juans!

Each dollar you donate to Friends of the San Juans on May 8 will be matched up to $25,000 by a generous donor!

Your investment and support will help us:

  • PROTECT AND RESTORE BEACHES for forage fish and salmon to enhance the food web for our Southern Resident orcas.
  • FIGHT CLIMATE CHANGE by working with partners to ensure climate sustainability goals and policies are included throughout the San Juan County comprehensive plan update.
  • OPPOSE NEW OIL INFRASTRUCTURE, TRANSPORT, AND STORAGE in our region to prevent the Salish Sea from becoming a gateway for fossil fuel exports, adding to climate change impacts, and increasing oil spill risks.
  • INCREASE SAFETY AND REDUCE NOISE IMPACTS of commercial vessel traffic, to prevent catastrophic oil spills and reduce vessel traffic impacts to our Southern Resident orcas.
  • MENTOR LOCAL STUDENTS about the legislative process and how to advocate for waste reduction; green energy; and efficient, clean transit.

Click here to GiveBIG and stand with Friends of the San Juans to make a difference in the Salish Sea. Your donation is an investment in protecting and restoring the San Juan Islands for people and nature. We are always stronger when we stand together to protect what we love.

It means so much to me to have helped protect the rural environment and natural beauty of the San Juan Islands during the 1980s and 90s. Now I get to share my appreciation of these beautiful islands with my grandchildren, too.
